Green Card Process - timelines

I have a L1 visa and my husband a L2 with EAD. Recently we filled the greencard forms and we just mailed all forms after the medical examination.

How long it takes from here? What is the next step? The fingerprint only or it is necessary an interview?

I might be laid-off, in this case my greencard process stops? Could I continue it in any way?

If I lay-off, do I lose my L-1 status? Any way to keep working in US?

If you 140 is approved and (or if your company is ready to support your GC even after Layoff) if you 485 is pending for 180 days then you can use AC21 and you can work for some other company with the same or similar job duties by getting a visa for the new company. In this case your GC does get stopped.

Technically you lose your L1 status, if you get laid off.

For more details you can post your query in the following thread.
