I am a US Citizen and have filed I-130 petition for my parents in May '10. My parents are here in the US (since April '10) and have a valid 10-year multiple entry Visa. Their I-94 expires in Oct '10. I wasn't aware that I could file I-130 and I-485 together.
1) While the I-130 petition is still being processed by USCIS, Can I attach a copy of the I-130 receipt and file I-485/other relevant documents for concurrent processing?
2) If so, will filing of I-485 let my parents stay in the US (legally) beyond Oct '10, even though the it might take longer than Oct '10 for them to get their GC?
