Green card Interview

me and my husband are having our interview for the final phase of our green card next week. our lawyer wants to charge us $1000 to prepare us and accompany us to the INS office. Do we really need a lwyer? did yours do anything at the interview for you? What kinds of questions do they ask? are people rejected? Help!
 
looking at the dates of the post I imagine you have already had your interview. As long as you have no "problems" lurking in the past, Arrests, medical problems etc, than your interview should have gone smoothly.
