Green card interview missing documents

Hello everyone,
I'm a new member and i have a question for you guys. Last December my family and i had our green card interview and everything was fine except for one document that was missing. The interviewing officer told us we were approved but we had to send back up that missing document along with our passports (without giving us a time period or deadlne). That document was later sent about 1.5 months later along with our passports. Our passports were returned to us and we were told that there isnt any available visa numbers at the moment; further stated that when they become available we will be notified to send our passports back. We have been waiting for about 6 months now and nothing from them. Did anyone go through a similar experience or have any insight on this?
Thank you very much, appreciate alot

i dont see what else you can do other than wait for that visa number to become available. you're approved so its just matter of time; i wouldnt sweat it. call infopass a month from now and find out more about it. gluck!
