My Mom Ansuyaben, who has a valid Green card, returned back from US on 26th Jan'07 along with my father Pramodray because of ill health of my father Pramodray, and was supposed to go back on or before completion of 1 year i.e. 25th Jan ‘08. But due to following unavoidable circumstances she couldn’t return in time.
1) My brother Amit (her son) was sick from the period April'07 to Dec'2007 during which he was operated thrice for Ulcer colitis. He was asked to take complete rest for few more months evenafter Dec'07. Due to this, Ansuyaben decided to take care of him very well being a mother. Amit is in a better shape now.
2) My Father Pramodray (her Husband) was also suffering from Parkinson since more than 15 years and was not really in a position to travel on long flights. He needed 24 hours assistance for his daily chores. But unfortunately my father Pramodray passed away on 21st June'09.
Now, Ansuyaben is alone in India and wants to stay with her son Rajan(me) residing in Elgin IL, US. Is it possible to revive the greencard? If yes, what procedure is to be done?
She still has greencard, which is valid until Sept 2010. Only thing she doesn’t have re-entry permit because of the fact that she was not intending to stay over. If no then what should we do? Do I need to reapply for her?
