The DS-230 for my stepdaughter was considered complete on Aug 5th by the NVC and when I called them I was told that she wasnt able to be scheduled for an interview in Rio de Janeiro in August or September because of capacity issues. My wife is very upset because she is almost 6 months pregnant with our twins and her and my stepdaughter's birthday are both in October. Does anyone know what the timeline is for getting an interviewed scheduled after the DS-230 is considered completed with the NVC? I was told all they were waiting for was the interview date.

Im worried because we were really hoping on having her here when the babies are due to be born in the beginning of December.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

After your DS 230 was received it should be 3-6 weeks for you to get the email with the scheduled interview date of 4-6 weeks from when you will receive the email. Few days before the interview date it will ask you to do get the medical done . You will make the appointment for medical yourself. Let's hope all the papers are in order with the DS-230.
 
Thanks for the reply. Everything is fine with the DS-230. They told me it was complete with no issues, they were just waiting for an interview opening to schedule her. The concern I have is that its already been over 3 weeks and they told me that she wont be able to interview in Rio in September because they were full. I was hoping someone had experience with this and could tell me what the chances of her getting an interview scheduled in October was or if it could still be months from now that she is scheduled. I figured they would work a little quicker considering she is a 5 year old.
