Green Card For Parents-petetion For Alien Relatives

My son who is at US wants to petetion us (both self & my wife) for Green card-Petetion for Alien Relatives. someone suggesting us that it is better to file these papers at India (American consulate) than at US.
We would like to know which of these two options better for filing relavent papers for smooth processing.
kindly suggest us the mode for filing documents
 
As far as I know, your son will have to file I130 petitions for you in US. Once the petitions are approved, National Visa Center (NVC) will advise on further steps to be completed by you and your son. When the file is complete at NVC, it will be sent to US consulate in India for your interview.

I do not think a citizen can do direct consular filing for parents in India. You may want to check with the consulate.
