A friend is looking to get a green card for her mother as an immediate relative. Her mother entered the US 2 weeks ago. How long after entering the US does the parent have to wait to file the green card application? Is there a time limit of 90 days from entering the US that applies in this case?
Additionally, can the American citizen apply for the parent to get a green card with the parent living in another country? If so, how is the application process different?
