Green Card for mother currently on B2

Hello,

My mother has a B2 tourist visa valid till 2011. We recently filed for her I-485 at Chicago office for residents in New Jersey.

Can she still travel on existing B2 tourist visa. I checked Advance Parole forms but it seems those are for short term emergency travel. My mother generally spends winters in India and summer in Jersey.

NO. she cant travel with a B visa while her GC application is pending. She would be refused entry at the POE and sent back if she did that. Advance Parole is the solution for this.
