Green Card Filing

I am currently working on H1B visa for company A and this company A is showing no interest in filing for my green card .

My question is, while working with Company A, can I approach
another company B just for filing my green cards. Can this method
work. Or do I need to be on company B payrol for processing
Green Card. I am ready to move to company B only AFTER my
green card is approved.

Another reason is company A is a NJ based one where LC takes
its own time. Company B I am looking for is PA based where LC
process takes less than 3-4 months.

Any suggestions, views are welcome.

You can approach Company B to start your GC, afterall GC is meant for future Job. My company is based in Harrisburg .. whatz your profile?
