Green Card filing in case of work at homw for a virtual company

Hi,

I am working from home for a virtual software company. The company does not have any physical location. All the people work from home and they are located all over U.S. I am planning to get my green card filed through this company but have few doubts:

1) From which state can my green card be filed? Can I file my green card from work@home location as I am going to work from this location only.

2) If I can file from the area where I am working, is it the same for state (local) level processing and region level too. Or is there any difference like filing local from the place where I am working and region from the location where company is registered.

It will be great if you can advice me regarding the same.

Thanks,

Hi,

Didn't get the reply exactly... If I am working in Pittsburgh, I can apply for state level(local) from Pittsburgh too. And in that case it will go to Philadelphia for region level.

If my company is registered from New York (as the website says the address to be of NY), its the same case? Just had one doubt as someone mentioned that the local is filed from the city you are working in and region is filed from the state where company is registered for.

Sorry that I don't know the exact names of the filing forms like I-140 , I-485 and so on..I just know one is local and then it goes to region :-)

You can apply from the location of Company HQ or your home state.
