Green card filing - EB2 or EB3

Following is my situation:

Education:
I have a B. sc.(3 years after 12th) along with which i was doing diploma in computer studies(1 1/2year)

Experience:
In just 2 months from now, on August 17th this year I will be completing 9 years of experience. I started working in 1992.

from my understanding :
3 years would be counted as 1 year of education - so I would have 4 years of education and still would have 6 years of experience.

B.S(3years + 3 years experience) + 6 years experience => EB2

CAN I FILE FOR EB2 ?

Hi,
I too have the same education qualifications as I have but only 5 years of experience as to your 9 years.
But I want to file under EB3 category.
Is that possible? Did you get any info on your scenario.
