Hi, I'm new here. I'm filling out my dad's application to renew his green card and two questions ask 1. the location, USCIS office where he applied for adjustment of status, and 2. what USCIS office issued him his immigrant visa or adjustment of status. I called the lawyer's office that handled his case 10 years ago and they will not tell me, they said they don't keep any files. So, I called USCIS and they said request a FOIA. I submitted a FOIA but they just sent me a copy of his approved application. No where in there does it say who issued his green card and which office received his application. Please help. Lawyer wants 1k to file this application for him, I'm just trying to help him. For added info, I filed for him, well, i signed all the paperwork and he found his own lawyer. He is in southern California and I live in a different state. the FOIA request said he filed a 201(b) parent IR-5 for visa category, and I-485 for adjustment of status. Any help to where I can find this information would be really appreciated.
