Green card expires today

My green card expires today.
Of course I filed for I-751 and got my extension.

The thing is that:

- I filed my I-751 at VSC so I'll probably get my 10-yr green card right before I will file for N-400
- I extensively travel abroad, for both business and vacations
- For Thanksgiving we will go to the UAE and for Christmas to Moscow.
My extension letter has my last name mispelled.
I don't know how the airline personnel will react to 1. an extension letter 2. a mispelled extension letter.
I will fly a US airline and both times with my USC wife (who carries my last name), but I really do not want to argue with any airline staff, especially in Moscow. Last time I almost got denied a tourist visa at the Russian Consulate in NY because my green card was to expire in 2 months (and I gave them the extension letter even back then).

I'm really against excess of paper or acts regarding immigration, and plus my passport is running out of pages and would like to avoid getting a new one every 2 years.
But do you think it's worth to schedule an infopass and get the stamp in my passport? I'm especially worried about the mispelled extension letter, which was clearly typed and not computer-generated (the bio appointment letter had my last name correctly spelled).

Thanks

Infopass apptt

This is your only way out at this point to go for an infopass appointment and ask the officer how he/she could help you with this matter. If they can stamp your passport with a I-551 stamp, that would solve all the problems. The I-551 stamp is good for 1 year from the date of issue.
