Hello, I have a sister that is mentally handicapped for whom I filled out an N-400 citizenship application (as I said in my other thread).
I was wondering if I should e-file a renewal application (I-90) for her before it expires since I have heard that citizenship applications can take up to 2 years to process.
I searched the forums and found a similar thread, and the response was that if the greencard still has more that 6 months until its expiration date then there is no need to apply for a greencard. This was back in 2005 though, and the link they gave to the USCIS page no longer works.
Can anyone give me more up to date advice or tell me if the previous is still true?
