Green Card Expire while staying in India

Hello,

My Mother is in india and her green card is expiring in May,31,2010. How I can renew it. I read USCIS.gov but it is asking to contact American Consulate in Mumbai.

My mother has Re-Entry Permit for two years until November 2011.

Your help in this regards is very much appriecated.

She can use her reentry permit after the GC expires. The reentry permit allows entry to the US even if the GC is expired or lost.
