First of all, thanks for accepting my criticism, which for this discussion board, is rare for someone to take a fair critism, while value in what was said.
As I said in my previous post, your attorney should work very hard to ensure that this denial is reversed, because as one of discussion board member suggested, unless your wife's income is below minimum poverty line, then you shoud have been approved. However, that's not entirely true, because there are cases in which a marriage appears fake, and a denial. However, because you didn't explain the circumstances of this denial, I can't infer anything.
So, in your pursuit of justice and fairness in the system, your lawyer should be person working on this case at every opportunity. Moreover, he should be the person who files MTR within the 30 days, and request a report from the DO, and why you were denied in the first place. If I have pay a lawyer to handle my case, I am taking him to the interview because what am I paying him for?
As I said, your congressman is working on other cases, so waiting for him to return your letter or phone call is an equivalent of shooting yourself one more time in the leg. First of all, not having your attorney at the interview was a stupid move and a first shot in the leg. Why???

USCIS employees have a tendency, NOT ALL OF THEM, to abuse immigrants and get away with it, because their denial is impossible to challenge, without them winning and dragging you through a painful MTR process. So, use your attorney and ensure that you get a big bang of your Almighty dollar
cool...
