Hello all,

My ND is 11,2001 so I have a long way till my green card, according to USCIS it's around 2009-2010:mad:. So I was thinking if there are other ways for us to get the green card and faster. First thing that pops up in my mind is employment based green card.

so my question is, is it possible for asylee to have to different types of status adjustment applications at the same time, and where there anybody who've done it.

Thank you.

we already had this disscusion before. do some research in this forum, but basicaly we agreed that it is possible to have 2 separate I-485 appliations pending. However, you will have to cancel one once the first one is approved.

BUT ... I didn't see anybody doing this. So, this is not a legal advice or a 100% sure thing. My advice: Green card lottery as alternative or additional option. here is the link:

Thanks nofreedom for quick reply. I've been playing lottery all this years, but no luck. Will definitely continue, but I'm really interested in hearing any input on going employment based route as this is pretty wide spread here in silicon valley.

dade,

I had a friend who was granted assylum and didn't want to wait for 5 years to get his card. He applied through his employer and got his green card 3 weeks ago. He saved 3 years of wait time.

U will have to cancel your current pending immigration adjust status first and then re-apply for another case. But, for my knowledge you can not apply for a work visa if ure became none status in US.
