Hi,
I received a mail today from USCIS that my case has been approved and they have ordered a card for me. My question is after I receive the physical card, do I have any constraint on shifting from the company. The company sponsored my EB1-B application. Also, do I need to do anything regarding passport stamping as some people go through ?

thanks a lot,
Sama

sama_1234,
There have been discussions on this thread indicating that a 6 months stay with same employer is recommended. There is no consensus on if that's required or not. A number of people have successfully gotten citizenship after moving right after approval without a hitch.

Did your online status message , LUD change during the process? Can you share that informaiton.
Thanks.
KJ

Hi KJ,
Thanks for your information regarding the change of company. You referred to citizenship but nothing regarding the status of green card. So my LPR status does not come under scrutiny at all ? Assuming that the parent company is not filing any complaint with USCIS ?

To answer your query, the LUD on my case status online changed on 8/23/2005, the same day I received the email from them that my LPR is approved. This is 17 days after my FP got done (LUD for that changed on 5th aug 2005). Looks like the online message is exactly the same as the email I received.

It will be of great help if you could tell me the link regarding the company shiting issue discussed earlier.

thanks a lot,
Sama

Working with same employer after approval of GC

Hi,
I have a similar situation and so am posting this as a reply to this thread.

I used to work in the Atlanta Branch of my Company in 2001 when my GC Processing began. Halfway thru , I moved to the California branch in 2002. My company filed another Labour certification for me in CA in May 2002. In July 2004 my Atlanta Labour certification got approves. The HR dept of my company told me they can start the I140 andI485 concurrent processing for my case using this Labour certification, but once the GC process is complete, I will have to work in the Atlanta office for 6 months. My I140 was approved on August 9th.

I could not find any documentation anywhere that states this requirement. Is this a USCIS requirement for my GC to be valid or is this something that my company is coming up with ?

Please let me know.

Thanks
B
