Hi,
I-485 application was approved for both myself and my wife in March 2005. We got I-551 stamping done on our passports. Later we did a address change by filing AR-11 (I sent two individual AR-11s for myself and my wife in one post through USPS). I received my plastic card on June 10th to my new address. However, we have not recieved plastic card for my wife. Upon contacting INS service center following is the information available.

On June 7, 2005, the card order was completed and we mailed the
applicant's new card directly to him or her. If 14 days have
passed and you have not received this card, you may wish to
verify or update your address. To update your address, please
call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.

They have not confirmed the address to which the card was
sent and they are also not providing the address they have on records for my wife. Also, their records do not indicate the card to have been
returned either. They suggested to apply for I-90 (replacement
of the card). I do not understand as to why should we be paying
more than $250 when it is not our fault.
Can you please guide us as to what we can do? Thanking you
