My wife has her green card interview on May 1st. I am a US citizen. One of the requirements for the interview is a court disposition stating that she has no criminal record. Is this required for a marriage based petition? If yes, where can i get this?

criminial records etc

in wake of 9/11 bcis is being very cautios looking almost at everything to analyse the minimun thing. the information they request is put trhugh intellingence. anyway yes it is required that you got a police clearance record. what you do is you have to go to the nearest police department in your county or city and ask them that you need to get a police clearance record. all it do is tell the bcis if you ever been arrested and if you have been convicted of anything. if she never was arrested there is nothing to worry about, on the other had if she has you have to explaines the reason and circumstances why.

hope this is of help:D

Blakchawk,

Is this for consular processing? If so, yes they have always asked for this document even B4 9/11. Like DallasBoy Central said- get it from the nearest Police Station. They have never asked for this document for an interview here in the US though. They look for that info themselves.

Affidavit of acknowledgement of marital status

Guys,

I have a quick question about the affidavit of acknowledgement of marital status from 3 people.
Is there a format for this letter or affidavit?
None of you have mentioned it.
My interview is due in week or so.

Also is the Police clearance needed for AOS in USA. I would think INS will know.

TIA,
Coolglobal
