Green Card Application - Alien number?

I am currently working in the US on a TN Visa.
I have an EAD and associated Alien registration number that expired in 2005.
On the green card application forms (I-130, I-131, I-485 etc..) should I use my expired Alien reg number or just leave the space blank or write "None"?

Apparently, it doesn't matter.

I too had an A# from my OPT and put it on the forms, but then the USCIS gave me a brand new one, anyway. I had asked a lady at the International Center at my institution before filing and she said I could put it there, but it's not necessary. If anything, it might help them locate and analyze my entire "history" in the US, which might expedite the process.

Also, when I went for my fingerprinting, I asked why I had two different A#s and I was told that they simply have two (maybe more) groups of A#s: temporary ones (e.g., for OPT) and permanent ones (for GCs).

It's true that you don't get an A# with H1, so I would either just put the OPT A# or leave it blank.

all the aliens number that you have are temporaries until you get your GC.... by that i mean the temporay GC after your interview if by marriage or the 10 year GC from employment, lottery or any other means.
