I am a citizen of India and my green card is in process. It is at the stage where I am waiting for my EAD. Before my company started my green card process in Dec 2002, I personally applied for Canadian Immigration in year 2001. As a result, now when my green card is in process, I received a letter from Canadian Consulate that I will get Canadian residency if I submit the right of landing fee in the next 30 days.
In this situation, if I submit the right of landing fee and take the Canadian residency offer, will that cause any problems in my green card process or should I refrain from signing the Canadian offer. What possible issues am I looking at if I accept the Canadian offer.
The reason I am asking this is because there is a lot of instability regarding the job at my work place and the green card process can take two more years to complete. In the mean time, I just wanted to secure the Canadian residency for the just in case scenario.
Thanks for your help and advice.
