Green application pending while devorcing

my cousin is devorcing while his greend card applicaiton is pending. he applied the GC through family petition and his wife is a american citizen.

can he still proceed his green card appliaiton after they devorce/.

No. The point of a GC through marriage is to keep the family together. As soon as re divorce is final the GC petition is invalid.

In what stage of the process is he? Biometrics? Interview?

I was always under the assumption that provided the marriage was entered into in good faith, then one could continue with AOS. Now if AOS hadnt been filed yet, then I know that it would be difficult to attempt to file it and be successful...but in the OPs cousins case, it appears that AOS has been filed.
