greaty-k and Tracker Tool

Hi Everyone

There is thread on this board about the posting from Grety-K about his Tracker tool.
I think, many visitor on this board does not like Greaty-K to post messages about his tool on these boards.

I think, it is very important that the new visitor coming to this board should know about this tool (if it is not commercial site) and should use the tool for the sake of other GC waiters.

I would suggest that, we can ask Administrator of this board to create a new topic for this tracking tool and put a link to the tool. This topic will provide Greaty-K and others to post their messages about new features as well as comments from board visitors in one place. This will help everyone by just visiting one topic for tracking tool and not annoying the users who don\'t like messages about the tool

What is do you guys think?

PROBLEM WITH TRACKERS IS THAT THEY STAY ALIVE TILL THE PERSON WHO STARTED IT OR WHO CREATED IT DON\'

I appreciate all work done by these folks but All great work done by Greaty-K or AnotherWish would vanish as soon as they get the GC and then we would be left wondering.

Remember InfiTimes and other trackers which have gone with all the Data !!

I think people who start these sites should not just abandon it because they have got the GC and now they don\'t have time or interest but should ask other people if they are interested in maintaining the sites. I am sure their would be lot of people to carry forward their good work !!

1LongWait & Lui - If everything goes fine my GC should be approved by Aug 2002

I plan to update the website till year-end and would like to transfer the responsibilities to some active member who comes forward before I leave. I felt the same about old trackers like Myladoor’s immitracker, I can understand. The problem with Myladoor’s site was that it involved too much of manual work, I have reduced that to an extent and Greaty-K’s site is just super – as everything is real time and requires very minimum maintenance once the site is completely developed.

When I launched the Rupnet Easytracker I promised the board that my tracker will keep working even after my approval. The reasons being:

1.Rupnet Easytracker is realtime, automated with no manual intervention. It requires very little maintainence as users are basically maintaining it by adding and updating their info.
The only work I am doing now is to enhance it as per suggestions by users and its no extra/manual work for me to maintain it.

2.I can never abandon it because I already have a parent website, www.rupnet.com which is my own domain and I have owned it for the past 2 years.
I am still working on parent website which is my hobby.

3.My wife\'s is a homemaker and she is the one maintaining the site.

I realise the hard work put in by others to maintain manual trackers which must have been a tough and cumbersome job.Thanks to them for their hard work and efforts to manually maintain the tracker.
So, I\'ll be here even after my Approval
