Hi there,
I've been granted Withholding of removal since 2007 by n IJ and wanted to know if i have the possibility to adjust my status through Work sponsorship, Marriage or anything else.
My second question is they said that if you obtain Withholding of removal, you are not eligible to get a RTD. What if you apply for one and they send it to you? Can you use it to travel abroad? and will you be admitted back to the states at the port of entry.

Thanks

Witholding of removal means that you'll NEVER be able to adjust to LPR on the basis of asylum and can NEVER leave the USA. Once you leave, you can bid good bye to USA. It gives you the right to remain and work in USA, but DHS can "technically" withdraw that status at any time.

According to my understanding, if you ever leave the US while under Withholding status, you will not be permitted reentry.

You can be sponsored for green card through marriage, work or family. Once you have your LPR status you can leave the US and return as you wish.

WOR has no GC filing, no travel out of country and no benefit of bringing ur family. all u have is right to live in US and work in renewed EAD
