My ex room mate did not pay rent after I left to take up a job.
After 6 months, he moved out and told me that he has closed the lease properly.
One year later, I was informed that I had been sued in civil court because rent had not been paid for 8 months.
I settled of course but the court release says: 'Settled with prejudice'. I.E I had been found guilty.
I want to go to Toronto ASAP and get my H1B stamped.
Can the embassy see traffic violations and civil injunctions? I know they must be checking for criminal violations.
Please offer any advice that you might have!
