Today when I checked my status. Finally my Frustrating & Disgusting wait is over. Here is my story:
Started my GC process in March of1998.
My attorney screwed up the Labor filling and filed it second time in May 1998 after some missing information in first.
Got my Labor Certification approved in April of 1999.
This is what happened at I140
Sent for my I140 filing to our attorney. Our company use to file the application in Groups. This time the paralegal of our attorney screwed the things. She filed for a group of people in our company who are with priority dates 2 months behind us and filed out I140 a month after we sent them to attorney. The time is June 1999 when all the EB categories are current. The group who got filed got their I140 approvals in November 199 and they filed for I 485 in Nov 1999. When out turn came and got our I140's cleared the cut off dates went back. This was in April 2000. Adding to our frustration our I140's got approved one day before the dates retrogressed.
I485
Finally after one year and 4 months of tedious waiting the priority dates were current for my Priority date in May of 2001.
My I485 was finally sent to INS on Jun 19, 2001.

After waiting for more than 13 months INS finally opened my case and issued a
RFE for Employment on July 31, 2002.
RFE Responded on Sep 10, 2002 and INS added to status on SEP 11, 2002.
Finally after calling IIO times before this day the answers we
1. We got your RFE response and we are connecting to your file. 09/23/2002
2. We got your RFE response and we are completing the processing. 10/11/2002.
3. We got your RFE response and it was with an examiner wait for 2-3 weeks you will here from us( This time I called IIO to find out if I have apply for EAD since my second H1 extension is going to expire on Fe 28, 2003 and it is taking almost 4 months to get EAD approval). 10/23/2002
Finally I heard today( Just Now.). My case was approved on OCT 31, 2002.
