Hi all gurus out there,
I've a question, before that I've to describe the situation:
My dad & mom got their visitor visa in summer of 2001 for 6 months. They stayed here for 4 months and went back. Now in early 2003 my mom applied for her visa (via drop box) again and was granted 10 yrs visa. My dad did not apply that time because we wanted my mom to come and there was a finite chance at that time of them getting rejected if they apply together (actually my in-laws were rejected twice, and my wife was expecting so we did not take chance).
Anyway, after my mom went back, my dad applied again for the visa and got only 6 months visa. Now we're planning to go back India in Dec. The question is: should he come to USA just to show on his passport or just let visa expire? If he doesn't come to usa would it be a problem for him the next time he applies for visa?
Is there any way to get an extension of the visa? (He may come in feb/mar of 2004).
Thanks in advance,
