here is my details

RD July 7th 2001

RFE ack Arpil 7th 2004

2nd FP on April 27th 2004

FBI sent the FP results to Lincoln, NE on May 7th,2004

Sent letter to officer 255 mentioning about my FP.

Sent an enquiry through 1-800 number

Also followed up with my local congressman office. They were extremely nice and very prompt in answering. They got a fax from INS on June 1st that they will order for my file.

It took almost 3 years to get the approval. I know it is really frustrating, people who are waiting for approval after
RFE. As I posted earlier, after FP, INS is doing name check
which is taking upto 6 weeks to complete. This could be one of the reason for delay.

But an important note for people who are waiting for approval after RFE. Try to do whatever you can like send letters to INS, follow up with your local congress man office, call 1-800 number etc.

It is good they are clearing 2001 cases (as they deserve to get approved first)

Hi JXH, I heard from my attorney that INS might be doing Name
check, and currently it is taking 4 to 6 weeks for FBI to complete
the name check. Remember, this statement is from attorney, not
from INS. So, in my case, FBI sent the FP results to Lincoln
NE, on May 7th, and I got the approval on June 8th. The one month
in between, might account for Name check(But i am not 100% sure)

As I posted, I also sent letters to officer 255, did enquiry
through 1800 number and followed up with my congress man.
Hope you get ur approval at any time.

I hope so too... My officer is the quite famous one -- #016. And I guess I am the only officer# 016 RFE'r that hasn't got approved yet.
