My passport expires in the middle of next year and am going for passport stamping in the first week of december. the questions I have are:

i. Should I renew my passport before I go for stamping?
ii. If I used the current passport for stamping and renewed it later, would I have to go for stamping again (fight to get the appointment and do this thing all over again)?
iii. If I were to go to India a few months before my passport expires and re-entered a month or so before its expiry (I assume it should be valid when I re-enter), would there be a problem? I've seen people report issues with other visas (H1, B1, etc.) where they were not let to enter as their visa expired too soon.

Thanks for your inputs!

You need to have a passport which has a validity of atleast 6 months during the stamping.

See the answer before.. They may not stamp your passport. It is better to get a new passport before going for stamping.

Not a problem if you have a GC at that time.
