Hi,
We ( me and my wife) got stamped on our passports on sep 1st at Detroit INS. Interview was held for about 20 min, She ( Interviewer) was very friendly and cool.
She asked me to give offer letter from employer, joint bank statements, joint lease agrrement. She also took our old EADs, travel docs and then stamped the passport which will be valid until aug 31st 2005.
She informed us that we will get our original cards with in 6 months, If not then come and contact her in 5th month.
It has taken exactly two years to get stamped. My case in under EB3 category. I have applied for state labor in June 2002 and got cleared in july 2002 . My federal labor was cleared in dec 2002. I applied I-140, I-765, I-131, I-485 in Feb 2003 at Texas service center since I was working in Texas area. I moved to Detroit in Nov 2003 and applied for change of address AR-11 form. My case was tranferred from Texas to local Detroit office in May 2004. Got apporoved I-140 in june and got the interview call exactly after two and half months after I-140 approval.
Everything went well wihtout any probs till the stamping, no RFEs for anything. I have posted a thread before I attended the interview to share the experience anybody who does attend the interviws at Detroit. I did not get any reply. Anyways thanks to all of you to share your experiences in different scenarios.Let me know if anybody has interview schedule at Detroit , I will give full details about my experience over there.
Bye
