How long can I send a query again. How to speed this process?fine&jadwin

Dear Annet,
It is a good idea to send them a fax inquiry every month, plus to leave a message on their answering machine every 2-3 weeks- let them get familier with your name.
I probably already mentioned somewhere the thread started by Rahul Kumar about his experience. It should be easy to find it by doing search at this web site. I came up with the same ideas as Rahul. it worked well for both of us (he got his citizenship, I got my green card petition approved).
Do not lose your hope. The problem is that it is NOT a high priority case to verify that a coincidence in name/DOB is just a coincidence. So this indeed takes time (for some people up to 2 years, for most people in this mess - less than a year). If you know when USCIS asked FBI about your name check - it is a good start to gauge the estimated waiting time. Of course sometimes your personal appeals (in writing) ot help from the Congress could accelerate things.
