Got receipt today, but some confusion

My wife applied for 485 on 4/23/01 for both os us. Today she received a mail from attorney saying that she received receipt for mine and not for my wife.

Are there going to be seperate receipt numbers ?
If Yes, Why is delay in receiving reciept for my wife?

You get seperate receipt numbers and as a matter of fact everything is seperate - finger printing date, your A#, etc. This is quite common.
