Got permanent residence but not passport stamp

I had the interview and got my case approved, however there was a missing proof and I was required to mail that additional document asap. Then I received my new permanent residence card by mail 2 months after. It's 5 months already since I got my residence and haven't received an appointment to get my passport stamped. I remember the officer told me to give her 2 passport photos for my passport and now I'm lost.

here's some questions come to my mind:

where do I have to request passport stamp?
I haven't received my new passport yet, since we are having serious political issues with our country, I'm a Venezuelan citizen and not sure If I'm going to get a new passport from my consulate(still have to wait 4-8 weeks to get an answer from my government)
My old passport just expired on December 31st 2005

If I simply don't do anything and just forget about my passport stamp, and just wait 4 more years
to become a US citizen, will I confront some kind of issues when I apply for citizenship in 2011?

thanks in advance.

Hello,

You have the plastic card as proof of your permanent residence. You are all set in that regards. You don't have to worry about getting a stamp on your passport.

As for not having a passport, you just cannot travel outside US, as now CBP also requires passport along with GC to reenter. As long as you qualify for the requirements for naturalisation, continuous stay for a certain time, English and history checks, you should be able to apply for naturalisation OK.
