After a 10 month wait I got my plastic card in the mail finally. My wife got hers in June. I called the INS couple of times before october to no avail. Finally, in october, I talked to an officer who made sure that she looked up my file and said that they had for some reason not requested for a new card and put aside my file. She said that she will do her best and get to it ASAP so that I do not have to get my stamp extended. I thanked her a lot and hung op the phone. On Nov 4, to my surprise, the message of the automated system had changed to card ordered on Nov 1. Finally, I got it yesterday in the mail. End of a long wait indeed.
Ciba, can you please update the card tracking list with my info. You will find my handle, arungk, in mid january 2001.
