I and my wife have reached the SanJose INS office by 4am today. I was like 30th person in the queue. It was a damn cold out there. At 5.30am Chinese Mobile restaurant came into the INS campus, few of us was running for their coffee, of course me too.
At 7 a.m. People were requested by an Officer to standup for few seconds to the Flag hoisting, Got in at 7.15 and we were asked to remove our belt, shoes and jerkin for the security scanning. We got our token and I-765 form to be filled out.
Waited like an hour. My number was called and submitted filled I-765 form, I-765 Receipt notice, copy of I-485 receipt and surrendered original EAD. Officer filled out their part in I-765 form, stapled everything together and I was directed to cashier to submit them. I haven’t paid anything.
Cashier told me to wait till they call my name, yes, called my name after an hour and they took my picture. I got my iEAD card in a minute.
We got out of the INS by 10 a.m.

Applied for EAD renewal in October, passed 100days
Validity of the new iEAD is 8months
