Got my green card

Hello everyone:
I am glad to inform you that I received my green card
Applied for political Asylum in september 90 ( i swear i am not lying)
Had an interview on october 97
Immigration Judge approved my case on september 98
Applied for green card on september 99
Got my RFE: July 2003 ( they asked me for a medical exam)
approved August 24th
card ordered september 26
Card received october 2nd.
I have the freaken card after waiting 13 years. Shamson, Irina move over. I broke your records. Noone waited 13 years. You know what is funny? I am probably the fastest person to receive her card: weird isn't it?
I want to thank everyone in this forum especially Gilbert for sharing their experiences. I have been reading this forum for a long time but I was too paranoid to participate. I thought that some of you were so gutsy ( shamson you are my hero lol). Now I have to wait 4 more years to be even more free to talk and express myself. God bless America

can you please tell us what's your Notice date and receipt date?

That's something hard to believe.

Are you telling us that your green card was ordered September 26, 2003 (Friday) and you received after three working days on October 2, 2003? For three days may be you can receive a letter from Nebraska to your own state, but when the GC was printed? It's hard to belive you got it for three days.

Many people consistently reported three to four months for actual GC to arrive. I have my GC ordered on August 23, 2003 and still waiting. Are you sure the dates in your post are correct? Or just playing with our souls.... ?

I told you exactly what happened and I double checked my dates before posting them. They may have been rushing because of the deadline for their fiscal year (on september 30th) :)

Green card one month after approval. Hope mine will come as fast as yours.

Congratulations my friend. I am not as "gutsy" as I used to be :D
