Got my green card stamp

I just want to share my green card stamping experience. It was a very smooth process for me. I showed up at 10:30am on 3/16/04, and waited in line for 1 hour then the officer gave me a fast track number which I got called right away by the real processing officer. Then no questions asked, he just took my passport, cross out my "expired" H-1 visa, then gave me the I-551 stamp on my "expired" passport. He took my original approval notice and I-94. He didn't ask for EAD cards.

Hi I am quite desperate waiting for my GC. :(
Would you please mind answering a few questions ?
During the interview at the BCIS for I-485 abjudication, what questions where you asked and what evidences did you show ?

Does everyone get a RFE ? is it replacing the interview ?
Do I have to expect a RFE ?

Thanks in advance.

I think it just depends on luck....I don't think there's a set rule. You can either get approved directly, get an RFE, or get transferred to a local office(which requires interview, I think).

So, if you get an RFE...just submit the information requested and you should just get the approval notice after a few weeks.

Hope it helps.

Hi Toadchen,

Congrats for your stamping !!!!
How long it took for you to get your approval letter (via mail) from TSC after your approval ? Btw where do you live ?

I got approved next day of yours (03/11/04) but until yesterday I did not receive a copy and I live in Atlanta.

Thanks,

It took me about 6 days to receive the approval notice...Normally, give it 7 to 10 days...and I live in San Diego.

Good luck!
