Got my asylum approval!!!

Hi,

I just want to share with all of you here that I got my asylum approval. It only took 2 weeks, just as they promised, for me to get it in the mail. I'm so thankful for everybody that helped me in this forum.

By the way, I have a question regarding GC application. My new I-94 was stamped on April 25, 2007, but my asylum approval was dated on May 1, 2007. If I want to apply for GC next year, which date should I count from?

Also, I have a friend who already had her GC. She moved to a different address. Should she report the new address to INS? If yes, which form should she use?

Congratulations....It is not always that easy to get the asylum through the mail. for some people it takes forever...for others months or years....but you are very lucky...and we are very grateful for you...

as for you greencard application date, I think the two dates are too close to each that other that there is no advantage to prefering one over the other. there is only five days in between. So my best advice to is apply for your grenncard On or after May 1. You could also apply for it on Aprill 25, but for your peace of mind just go along the May first after date becuase this will eliminate the worry that your application maybe returned to you..good luck
 
Congratulations! I remember when I got approved I didn't realize how important it was for me. I just got a judge decision on a shitty piece of paper stating that my asylum was granted, but believe me it's a key to your future life and wealth in U.S. Now get your degree or start your business and keep moving! I wish you the best!
 
Thanks for your advise. By the way, I got my EAD in the mail on May 7th. That's about 3 days after I got my asylum approval in the mail. I am so surprised that it came so fast. I thought that it would come about 7-10 days. Man....this is awesome! Thank God!

I Too Got Asylum In April 2007 But Mine Was From Judge And I Had To Make Appointment For The I-94 Card And Had To File Application For The Ead Card In Nebraska.

So Winning Asylum From The Officer Has Much More Adtantage!

By The Way, For How Long Is Ur Ead Valid? 1 Or 2 Years?
