Got my Approval finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USCIS sent me an email yesterday night around 10.00 PM. I couldn't believe my eyes... what a long wait.. It is finally over.. This is what the email message says:

"Current Status: Card production ordered.

On June 18, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you."

I did not get any welcome letter before getting this mail. Is that common?

BTW, This forum has been very very helpful.. without that I don't think how much I would have frustrated when I wanted to clarify my doubts... Most of the time Lawyers don't share their ideas completely with us.. but people here share their experience and console us most of the time with the real fact... I don't have any words to say other than "Thank you all"..

I have some more last minute questions.

1. Do we have to renew our GC every year? or we can apply Citizenship straight after 5 years?

2. Is there any procedure we need to follow after getting the magic card in the mail such as filling any forms etc.,?

3. Do I have to get any stamping in the passport?

4. How long does it take to receive the card?

Please share your insights.

I-485 Receipt: Dec 2003
Stuck with FBI name check from Jan '03 - Mar 07.
I am currently on my 3rd EAD/AP
Issued RFE on my I-485 on 16th May 2006 (They wanted copy of the employment documents between I-485 Submission and H1B expired date).

My lawyer responded to RFE on 12th of June.

Got my approval on 18th June.

THIS IS THE TYPE OF SERVICE WE EXPECT FROM USCIS AND ABOVE ALL NSC IS THE BEST!!!! NSC OFFICIALS TALK VERY NICE AND PROVIDE VALUABLE INFORMATION... WHAT A GREAT SERVICE FOR MY TAX MONEY...

Congratulations. When did you get the RFE in 2006 or 2007?

Got my I-485 RFE on 16th May 2007. Responded to that on 12th June 2007... Got the magic email on 18th June 2007.

Congrats on yr approval! What I see in here is a massive approvals from NSC this week. I`m from VSC and also got a good news today. Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On June 18, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service.
