Hi all,

I wanted to sheer my situation to get some advices.
My partner got selected on may 1st and we were engaged but not married. Back in October 2011 we obviously applied as single believing that we were never gonna be selected.
So we got married last June and 1 week after we sent all papers to KCC updating our marital status as married of course.
We now have the interview en January and we have proof of being together for a long time (almost 3 years). We have joint saving accounts, we have pictures, we have proof that we' ve been living together for at least 2 years, etc.

My concern is that they will find suspicious about us getting married just for the visa. I mean, we were already talking about marriage for the next year, but obviously we had to rush it to send all the papers together.

What do you think our interview will be like? I know they might ask us questions separately. We have nothing to hide I I'm afraid they will se fishy that we rushed our wedding and that we sent all the papers just 1 week after.

I will appreciate all kind of opinions and advices. We are preparing for a difficult interview...

Thanks!!

Il_fedess!

Do not worry about it, I know many people from my country whose get married just becasue they have selected (before they were just partners), and there were nothing problem during their interview, no one ask them why are they get married after the results and why...
The situation will be different if you want to get married with an american woman....than you have to prove your partnership with pictures, papers etc.

So in my oppinion you do not have to worry....

Good luck to you:)

No need to worry its not that complicated as you think. you need to show wedding album/video and photos etc.
