Got interviewed in Charlotte Yesterday

Everything went very well. We did not go with our lawyer but there were no problems. We were interviewed by officer A. She asked for all the documents on the list and we had made copies in advance and everything was organized.She was very nice and it did not take more than 15 to 20 minutes.
She asked the usual question about joint purchases etc.

Since our FP had expired she gave us new notices to redo our FP yesterday and said once she receives FBI clearence she will send approval notices.

I would like to thank all of you for all your help and support and best of luck to those who are still waiting

Congratulations on successful interview, I am hoping you will get your Approval Notice very soon, I have couple of Questions.

1. Did Officer run your Security Check or it will happen when your FP result goes to the Officer?

2. Officer gave you FP Notice but when is your FP Date Schedule?

3. How long was your FP Expired when your were going for interview?

Reason for asking these questions I have seen couple of cases that they had interview but their FP expired and INS send for another FP but they got stuck because of Name check but FBI clear their FP. They had to wait for 8 months for Approval.

I also have seen one case when FP Expired about a week ago but Officer Approved that case.

My case has been transfer to charlotte office and waiting for Interview Notice and my FP is expiring in 13 Aug 2004.

Let's hope for better result.

My ND is 11/2001. Transfer Date 11th May 2004. I was interviewed on 27th July 2004. I did my fingerprinting the same day. According to the interviewer they are just waiting for FP results and once they get that approval letters will be sent. She did not say anything about security clearence as she explained the process in detail. Hope I have answered your question

Do they send interview letters directly to your home or to your attorney?
In my case I changed my company. The attoreney is not giving information properly.
I am little bit concerned about this.

I got the interview letter at my home address they also sent a copy to my attorney.

I dont see why you will have any problems
 
Thanks for your prompt reply. I have another question to you. I gave my first finger prints on Feb 13th, 2003. Is my finger prints expire? Shall I need to do my finger prints again. It seems some members contacted congressman to get there second finger prints. Should I get finger prints before attending interview or just wait for the interview.

May be I am asking stupid questions. Please bear with me.

When you get an interview letter with it is a page which specifies what other documents you are required to take with you to the interview.

Normally they are pretty standard such as Employment Verification letter
Last three years tex returns etc but they might vary according to that particular case.

In my case my wife was the primary applicant and for some reason INS wanted us to prove that we have been living togather and that is where joint pirchases are helpful. For example a car on both names a mortgage on both names insurance etc. Like I said if you are called for an interview it is not necessay that they ask for all this but its better to take everything with you just incase

Fingerprints expire in 15 months. If you did them in Feb 2003 yours have expired. You should expect another FP notice from INS before your interview.

I did my FP in March 2003 and it was expired. If for some reason you get an interview date and no FP just go do the interview and they will generate a FP notice at that time and you will be asked to do it. In this case you will have to wait for the approval notice for two weeks after that FP date.
