Got initial assessment--File Transferred

Guys,
I got my initial assessment letter from buffalo today.
AOR March 06, 2003
Initial Assessment: Dated Feb 11, 2004

They said that my application is transferred to canadian consulate in NY. They have sent medical forms also along with it.

Now questions time:cool:

1-How long will it take for them to transfer my file from buffalo to NY consulate?
2- After the file is transferred, how long it might take to get the interview letter from NY Consulate?
3-The medical form for my wife shows correct address. But my medical form shows my old address still (I changed my address in december and informed CIC. The website reflects my new address) So now what am i supposed to do to correct this?
4-The assessment letter says not to schedule medical exam until i receive interview date. So am i supposed to wait till interview is done to do medicals? or can I do medicals as soon as i get interview date?

Help and suggestions would be very helpful.

1) From your own self assesment how many points do you think you should have got in new point system
2) Did you take IELTS exam ? If not had you submitted proof of english proficiency
3) What is your educational background ? Do you have a US degree or Indian degree

---I got 82 Points from my own assessment.
2) Did you take IELTS exam ? If not had you submitted proof of english proficiency
---No I did not take IELTS. I enclosed a letter stating my English usage at work and medium of instruction in Education..not sure how they will take it.
3) What is your educational background ? Do you have a US degree or Indian degree
---MBA. no US degree. I got more points coz my wife is BTech and I got a sister in canada.

I personally think you should request your CAIPS notes. That way you will find out the reason for your not getting an interview waiver, and you can get more concrete evidence to focus on that area.
Lets say that based on CAIPS notes you find out that they have doubts on your education or work exp, in that case you can focus on getting more docs showing that.
From what I have seen so far New York interview timelines are quite short. It is only LA which has a very very long wait for interviews so you should be OK.
Also what documentation did you submit proving ties to your sister in Canada ?

Thanks texan for your suggestions. Yes am also thinking about getting the CAIPS notes. Which method do you think is best? Online, Fax or Mail?

I am also sending a fax to buffalo regarding the wrong mailing addresss on my medical form. Not sure what they will do about it. Is it going to be a problem?

I just submitted their Record of landing and my sisters birth certificate.

What is your timeline btw?
 
CAIPS notes

I tried getting my CAIPS notes right after I got File number so mostly my notes were blank. You on the other hand will get good info as you will get the notes after assesment.
I did my CAIPS through mail as that was the only way available when I did it. They had temp discontinued by fax which they may have started again. I have no idea about online.
As far as my timeline

Applied: May 10th, 2003
Check cashed: May 13th, 2003
AOR received: July 21, 2003
IELTS results sent to Buffalo (> 7 in all sections) Dec 15, 2003
Waiting for assesment.

My self assesment shows I should get 76 points so lets see what happens. I also have MBA for USA. Waiting for assesment.

I applied for CAIPS notes yesterday. I will post the details once i get them back.

Other thing is about medicals. Since they have my old address on my medical form, can i scratch it and write up my new address?
I already faxed buffalo about it..dont know what they will say

They mentioned in the assessment letter that i should have medicals only after i receive the interview letter.
Can i go ahead and do medicals as soon as i get the interview letter?
