My 3rd EAD renewal receipt date is 10/01/03, my 2nd EAD was expired yesterday. This morning, I walked in Newark (NJ) Office to have made an interim EAD.
I arrived at 5:47am, there were already around 30 peole on line. I strongly suggested people who want to walk in go there earlier, because their workforce is limited, only people earlier can be served.
The door was opened at 7:30am. There are a couple of security controllers, I told them what I want to do and show them my ID (passport). Looked like if 90 days passed (they read carefully my I765 receipt), there is no more quesiton.
Then I got token, waited in the room, and be called around 9:30am. All documents needed are I765 receipt notice, I765 application form (I used the copy one, that is totally fine), I485 receipt notice and valid passport.
They processed the background check, and then gave me a piece of paper. I walked into an other waiting room, handed in that piece of paper, I765 application form and receipt notice. just waiting, then an officer told me my interim EAD is approved.
I was called to an other waiting room, made the photograph, did fingerprint, and shortly after, I got me IEAD that is valid from 01/02/2004 to 09/01/2004, perfectly matched the expiration date of my old card.
I got out of INS around 11:30am.
Hopefully I don't need to do the 4th EAD.
