I was also lucky to get iEAD from San Jose
Details:

Reached the office at 7 am. Stood in line until 8:30 -( it is a bit cold - take / purchase a mug of coffee while waiting outside)
got inside and got the token which was called out after an hour
Another hour of wait for the picture and the EAD was issued

Outside the INS office - the notice dated in May says that INS is accepting applications from mail / drop box only.

Also witnessed a successful EAD renewal case.
EAD issued for 8 months.

what do you mean by...

successfully witnessed an EAD renewal case.

Did the person just walk in, pay the fees and renew the EAD or had he applied for renewal of EAD earlier and his 90 days were up.

Also, any idea what the notice outside INS is for?????

THanks

I am confused about this iEAD at San Jose. I got mine at SF and they issued it valid only for 3 months. This is the second post I am seeing in which its said that San Jose INS issued iEAD valid for 8 months. Why the difference in the length of validity periods?

abtoaajaa,

How many days you EAD renewal is pending at CSC?
Do you think they will accept iEAD for less than 90 days of pending?

iead can be issued for a max of 8 mos

San Francisco issues a 3 months one on its own. I read someone get iEAD from LA for 4 mos.
