Got!!! iEAD and AP at Local Office

My EAD and AP were due expiring next month and we applied in AUgust for both renewal. Till yesterday we did not receive the approvals from INS. Hence yesterday we went to local INS (San Diego) (exactly 90days after filing) and showed them the receipt notices.
We had to fill I-765 and I-131 application forms again and bring new photos for I-131.
With this the local INS without asking a single question issued both an EAD and 131 by the end of the business day.
 
Some more info please.

Did you/spouse receive a RFE on AP/EAD? or it was just one of those cases which was not touch by officer at all? Can you post your WAC# for AP and EAD with notice date. I think your case is same as mine spouse and we are in San Diego too. please respond.

Are you I-140 cases or I-130 cases?

Because I was I-140 case and when I went to San Diego office, they won't give me AP, and they said this is employee (H-1) case, and since I apply through CSC, they can't do anything, not even issue me an AP.

However, I did receive iEAD due to 90 days rules.

Would you please tell me how early do you have to go to the INS and how long do you have to wait? I'm from San Diego too. Soon I'll need iEAD.

My ND for AP and EAD are 08/13/02 and the lawyers did the renewal filing for us. No RFE at all. I-131 got approved in Sept but we never recvd the approval notices. EAD was still pending till we went to the local office. Our 485 has been pending for more than an year.
For San Diego INS office we went at 500pm and if everything goes fine one should be out by 1100am.
