Got I-551 stamped today ( RD :11/19 )

for me and my wife in Houston, TX. :)

I took Approval notice from my lawyer (original) and one sent by INS (copy). I asked her if she need original or copy will do. She said she needs both. She also refused to give me photo copy of the Approval Notice :( (Why did I ask her????) :confused:

So, don't do the same mistake that I did.

Also, I am curious to know. If I would have given her copy of Approval Notice do I have to submit original at a later date? If I would have given her original of Approval Notice, I could have kept the copy (I think).

I don't think I need copy of Approval Notice but please let me know if it's needed for any reason. or how can I get it from INS if I just need a copy for my reference (to keep it in a file).

Congrats to you my fellow Houstonian. I don't think you would need to have the approval notice now that you have the stamp. By the time its time to renew your stamp you will most likely have your plastic cards.....

Generally, the Lawyer keeps a photo copy of the approval letter.
Ask him if he has one. Even though it may not be required, it's
good (at least as a memory) to have that copy.

Because your center was vermont and you got pp stamped at houston.
did you change address?

I did not file any AC-21.
No job change, been to same address since last 5 years. My employer comes under VSC.
