Got GC and Laid Off..... What are the implications?

Hi Friends,
I got my GC thru CP in November and entered US in December. Received my plastic card in the last week of December. Unfortunately i was laid off last week and i don\'t know the implication of it on my Green Card or how it would affect me in the future? Can someone please elaborate on this. Thank you.

Thank you for replying to my query. I have taken the letter stating that my company islaying me off due to the downturn in the economy. Is there anything else that i have to do?
