Dallas Stamping Experience

I plan to go to Dallas INS office to get my passport stamped. Could you please post your stamping experience e.g. how early need to go, is there separate line for GC stamping, how long it takes etc.

Thanks,
Krish

waiting_on_INS:::::Another question for U

congrats for getting approval and stamping!!!
Also as u indicated in previous mail your case was with Officer #154
Same guy has my case since JAN13-2001
I am not sure how U came to know that this particular officer was not supposed to look at 485 cases.
Please let me know

Stamping Exp. in Dallas

kri_da,
It is pretty simple...
We went around 6 am in the morning.. There was a pretty long line..Mybe 60-80 in front..It is common for all applicants..We were called in around 8.30 am..It was pretty cold..Be prepared with warm clothes etc...
Once inside had our photos taken(u can get them taken inside)
Our number was called after another 1.5 hrs of waiting...
Took just 2 min...No questions...Passports stamped..visa invalidated..
We were out by 11 am or so...

It is always better to be more prepared..so take all the papers
Good luck

Officer #154

Shahidimam,
I came to know after talking to one of the IIO\'s...Lot of times they contradicted what had been told earlier..so anything that was said had to be confirmed...
My case had been assigned to #154 for more than 1.5 months..Finally after that(i guess) it was reassigned to some other officer & within a matter of 10 days got the approval..

I am not sure of this but you might try calling TSC( i know it is painful & takes a lot of time) & confirming that #154 is actually supposed to process 485 cases

Thats all i can suggest
Anyway good luck
